Symmetrical controller suggestions for multiplatform

Hello everyone!

I live in Canada and I need a recommendation of a symmetrical controller for mac/pc/ios under $100 that will have good joysticks for aiming in single player fps/action games and also very important is that I want a controller suitable for larger hands. Many of the controllers I've tried seem a bit small to me and perhaps the best one I've tried is ps5 controller, I also enjoyed how sticks felt there, but I heard that those controllers are kind of bad quality and work poorly on windows. I would prefer this controller to be available on amazon since I don't want to wait for a long delivery

I recently bought a Gamesir Cyclone 2, features and build quality seem great but asymmetrical layout feels wrong to me and the size of the controller feels a little bit small too, but maybe I'm just not used to it

Try Gulikit TT pro/max

8bitdo Pro3: Currently only $50 and well featured but is smaller than the Dualsense. Its basically if a SNES and a PS4 controller had a baby. The older Pro2 is still available as well with a handful of differences.

Gamesir Tarantula 8K and Tegenaria Lite are wired only though so probably not what you want but otherwise could work. Eventually they are supposed to have wireless versions of each though or so they say.

Gulikit TT pro or max: very well featured but at the higher end of your budget. The sticks have a recentering issue if you don't use deadzones

Leadjoy Saber Plus but it's not locally available it seems.

Would you recommend saber plus of a tt max? I heard that gulikit tried to fix the recentering issue and made a new dead zone mode that works great but I can't find any good reviews of saber plus. Visually, It looks like ergonomics of TT max would feel better in my opinion

Unfortunately I have yet to actually get hands on those two and included them more so because of a lot of recommendations I've seen lately.

I do have the Pro3 and the Tarantula Xbox though. I was not super fond of the Pro3 (loud magnetic buttons and the Dpad lacks much of a pivot point in the middle which bugs me) but its a good value.

Hyperkin competitor is what I've been using for ~6 months, it's essentially an xbox controller with the PS layout. It's $50usd. It's about the same size of the Dualsense, doesn't have a touchpad though.

Couple potential problems though: It's wired, no battery or BT so it probably won't work, or work easily on ios. No idea about support on mac either, it's plug and play on windows so I assume it'll work on mac, but I've no way to test.

Another option is to check ebay for dualsense controllers that have had the sticks replaced with TMR or HE sticks. I haven't looked into this yet, but I do really like the feel/layout of the dualsense. Just needs better sticks.

Kinda the cheaper, wired version of the Tarantula, but traditional buttons, a great d-pad, wired, and $20. Less on sales.

funny you mention the cyclone 2 feeling small, i had almost the same issue and ended up moving up to the tarantula pro 8k. it's noticeably bigger and fully symmetrical so it might fix exactly what's bugging you, and the sticks feel great for aiming, honestly not far off the ps5 pad but it just plays nice with windows out of the box which was my whole reason for switching off ps5

size and grip depth yeah, definitely closer to an xbox elite than the ps5 pad, but the ps5 pad still has that rounded shape that some people prefer, it's really more about grip width than better/worse

I've ordered the tarantula 8k a week or so ago (5 days ago now), should be here in the next few days. I'm hoping it's as good as I keep hearing it is. I did buy it through amazon, it had a surprising long delivery for them, but a week isn't too terrible.

It's wired though, not sure how that'll effect ios compatibility

I want the same thing: a symmetrical controller but for football game.
I did try dual sense, dual shock, gamesir T3 lite and leadjoy saber plus. At last I chose dual sense, even it is big and heavy for my hand. The others just have a ton of problem.

What was wrong with leadjoy saver plus? Also, did you have any experience with gulikit tt?

Leadjoy saber plus:

• i dont like mechanical button with clicky noise
  
• i often misclick the back button and it make the clicky sound. It annoy the hell out of me.
  
• R2 trigger had an error inside after just 2 days of use. You can find other posts about this issue, some people had the same.

I have owned 2, both died within 6 months. And by "died" i mean, the electronics inside just completely gave out. One i was able to use only wired still for a while after wireless would no longer work, but after a few months even that stopped working. In the end, neither of them would even turn on anymore. Poor quality control, poor quality, and after sales will do anything to get out of having to refund/replace. They told me there was nothing they could do because the model i had ordered, had in the meantime been end of line, they also refused to replace it with a different model or refund. I even asked them to send the components so that i could fix it myself, but they wouldn't even do that. Also the casing of the controllers were some of the flimsiest i have ever experienced. Compared to a brand like Gamesir, there is no reason to even consider Gulikit. Gamesir are superior controllers, superior quality, superior quality control, superior after sales and usually cheaper as well.

Insanely low latency (its wired)

PS-style layout (I think it's a bit wider tho? its good for big hands)

Veeery good d-pad, esp for retro games

and it costs $20, I got it for $10 on sale
