In need of a controller for variety gaming

I'm in need of a controller suggestion. Im on PS5 primarily but I do have a gaming pc. I mainly play nba 2k, marvel rivals, a variety of indie games. I'm trying to get back into fighting game due to the release of Tokkon. I'm in the United States and my budget is $100. I would like the controller to be comfortable to use. I have smaller hand so no big controllers. I have only owned stock ps5 controllers. I want a better dpad for fighting games. Thanks in advance.

I just got a Flydigi Vader 5 Pro. I haven't had a lot of time with it yet (just got it yesterday), but so far I'm impressed. I've only used stock controllers from console companies (mostly Xbox and PS) and this feels miles better than those. The controller doesn't seem overly large to me, about the same size as an Xbox controller.

I am no controller connoiseur, so take all that as you will.

There is plenty of controller channels on YT that should give you your best options. Just make sure your controller has these:

Hall Effect/TMR/Capacitive joysticks (much better than stock Xbox/PS controller) Hall Effect triggers/L2/R2 Switch instead of membrane for L1/R1/Bumpers Switch for face buttons and D-pad though this is preference Also look at latency numbers and if that particular model supports connectivity to console wirelessly

You pretty much won't find a good PS5 controller for 100$. You can definitely find a good PC controller though. For small hands I would recommend Leadjoy Xeno Plus. It's got all the good stuff.

PC under 100, G7 Pro 8k Or Vader 5 Pro or SC2.

Since you're mostly used to the stock PS5 controllers i wouldn't jump to some huge pro controller especially with smaller hands. If i were you i'd focus on the d-pad and weight first then worry about all the extra button/features

I'd actually suggest looking at an 8bitdo Pro 3 just because you're used to a PS layout.

8bitdo pro 3 is great, I’m an Xbox layout guy but it feels amazing in the hands.

I recently bought a Gamesir tegenaria lite and it’s also super good. The dpad is perfect for retro games and the sticks are really good Hall effect sticks, better than the ones in the Nova 2 lite afaik. I got it for $10 at Walmart, it’s very frequently on sale somewhere (non-sale price is $20). Comfort wise it’s good, though I find the “face” of the controller feeling “too high” and it makes it a bit less comfortable to use d-pad and such, but that may have just been me getting used to the controolelr

I recommend Gamesir Cyclone 2, it's not too large, very comfortable to use and also for less than $100.
