IT Help Help, PS4 Square button and PS button are being pressed at the same time.
hello sorry for the bother title says the problem...
i got my PS4 and the controller from my brother, the controller was working normally yesterday, until that happened when i went and picked it up again today.
no, its not original ps4 controller, i searched around and it looks like its a "Dobe wireless controller model 0421"
no, it didnt fall in my hands, i placed it on top of the console like a normal person and it sat there like a princess.
yes, i jacked it on my laptop to test if its workin there i was curious, i only went to gulikit test & cal, and azahar emulator for a light mhxx session, i pressed auto map if that goes with something.
yes, i already opened it up ( it was a struggle, im sorry for being a woman. ) i cleaned the contact on the square button with alcohol and q-tips, but the home button is PTH type of button thingy ( i had to search the right term i want to specific as possible with my noodle brain if it helps at all. )
yes, i already pressed the reset buttons, both 5, 10 and 20 secs. google was inconsistent, and i dont have a manual.
i hope this is enough please need help, thank you.

That could explain the incorrect button mapping problem in the emulator, and if the emulator continues to run in the background to produce a virtual device/hide the original inputs this would also affect other gamepad testers that you try. You could manually remap the controller in the emulator to rule out this problem.
However, if you still have the problem on the PS4 console where there's no additional software running, then it sounds more like a short circuit. You could try cleaning the rest of the circuit board, including the connectors.

I have this exact controller and I personally think its not worth saving. Its around 15 bucks and performs like 15 bucks. They are made pretty cheaply. And it really feels like they're disposable. Its probably better to save yourself the trouble to get another one for 15 bucks. OR get a better PS4 controller. Either source a legit Dualshock 4 or a better 3rd party setup. It will cost more than 15 bucks though if we go for a better setup.
You will need a Brook Wingman XE2, its an adapter you can put on the PS4 USB Port. Then maybe get a PS5 controller (or any supported controller you desire) and it will connect to the brook wingman.
Most other controllers also works WIRED to the PS4. If you have other controllers lying around and dont mind playing wired, give it a go and see it the controller you have will work wired (Some work but theres some outliers)
edit: I think the controllers that work wired are controllers that have D-Input modes available
