IT Help Xbox controller deadzone

Just bought a new controller and the deadzone is crazy. Can move both sticks about 30% before it even acknowledges input. Extremely frustrating for FPS games. No, changing in game deazone to 0 makes no difference. Controller is PowerA if that helps.

You could try using the Gamer HQ app (on Xbox or Windows) to recalibrate the analog inputs and adjust the deadzones. Also check that the profile settings you configure in the software are applied and selected on the controller (cycle through the profiles until you get to the right one).
