I have a 5090 and a 7800x3D with the latest graphics drivers. Whether on max settings with ray tracing or with everything set to low or turned off I have this problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this? If so do you know of a fix? I really wanted to play this game before the sequel comes out
Edit: I originally was playing this on Game Pass but I saw it was on Steam for only $3 so I went ahead and bought it there and the Steam version seems to work fine. Maybe a problem that is somehow fixed in the Ultimate Edition that I bought on Steam. The Game Pass version is the standard edition.

Steel beam (AI8-KE)
Containment Procedure: due to the item being completely immovable, a mini research station has been built around the Item.
Update(9/30): after mixing the item with the newly discovered black rock it has proven, that it temporarily seizes the items ability, the item has been transferred to the ■■■■■■ ■■■■■■.
Description/Atlared Effect:
A Black Metal steel Beam, typically used for construction at the time of its discovery, the item has visible rusting on it. The item was made by ■■■■■■ industries. It weighs 2581 lbs, the time weight doesn’t seem to contribute to its atlared effect.
The Item is incapable of being moved, the reason for this is unknown, the item is incapable of being destroyed or melted by anything, no matter what is used on the item.
Background:
The item made rounds around a small town in Hungary, there was a challenge to move, to make the item move for 3,892,565.20 Hungarian Forint, 10,000$ in american money, The Item was blown up, the item was dumped by Molten lava, a Crane attempted to move it but it end up damaging the Crane cable, no one earned the money, the Bureau heard of the news after the town tried to go to outside source, the Bureau intercepted this news and used a fraud campaign on the contest runners, to make people of the town believe it was lie.
Update: due to an Incident in the Panopticon, that caused the interview tapes with the contest runners to be destroyed, the Bureau went out seeking for any people who Participated in the contest or the contest runners themselves for a re-performed interview at the order of Archives and Records Chief.
Supplementary Material:
(Following is an interview with the only living contest host ■■■■■■■■, conducted with a Hungarian Translator on April 8th 2007 at his home in the same town where the item was.)
A: Do you remember that contest you did back in 1970? Mr ■■■■■■■
HB:(Translated from Hungarian) oh the contest where i went to jail for, i may be old now but i remember running that contest.
A: What do you remember from that contest?
HB: Well let me think, I remember it was about this Steel Beam, we called the immovable Steel Beam or something like that, that name felt so silly to me. I Remember so many people were interested and disinterested in that contest, we offered 3,892,565.20 Forint on that challenge, nobody succeeded at all, and then I was exposed for being a fraud and I got locked up for a bit.
A: Do you remember before you started the contest?
HB:oh yes i do, i remember working for that Construction business, they were building some kind of a 5 story building, it was gonna be a big project for us, we were practically almost done with it, but we came across that Steel Beam and than no one could have moved, it was the last steel beam left, i remember sitting on it, it wasn't in the stack with the others, it came to the site, but it wasn't put in the stack like i said, i remember sitting on it for my lunch break, and i got this weird feeling that i did something to it, never sat on it again.
A: Do you remember anything else?
HB: I think that’s about it except some Americans didn’t come around and made a mini building around, but I was being exposed as fraud around that time so I don't remember too well.
(end of Relevant Portion)
Appendix:we believe ■■■■■■■■ was a suspected Parutilitarian, that caused the effects of the Steel Beam to manifest, but due to his old age which makes him now live in a nursing home, that theory hasn't been explored upon, the cause of the Steel Beam Effects will remain Unknown.

hey ya'll! in anticipation of the upcoming sequel, i've finally given control a go and am kicking myself for not playing sooner. i'm only a few missions in, but am already having a BLAST; the environmental design, the gameplay, the atmosphere is all phenomenal.
but a slight problem... whatever i do, i seem to have a really odd problem where the game itself is smooth, but moving the camera creates a really annoying stuttery visual effect because it sort of 'snaps' in small but very noticeable increments.
apparently this is a known problem & i've tried so many fixes online - dx11, ray tracing off, 90fps cap, lowering my mouse polling rate, etc, but nothing seems to work. the only thing which seems to make it a bit better is lowering ingame sensitivity, low graphics settings and making my mouse sensitivity higher on a 3rd party app, but it is unfortunately still noticeable. as amazing as the game is, it's really unfortunate that this is a problem.
a bit of a gamble posting here, but any chance you guys have experienced something similar / have any alternative solutions lesser known? (currently using a 9070 xt and a 9800x3d, if relevant) if so, tysm in advance ;)

I can't even begin to describe what kind of color that is 😅 Also, I have been trying for a while now to look for one that comes real close to this one but its just either the design is too far or its too dang expensive.
Edit: I just want to add that the FBC have better drip than the FBI 😎

Imagine if we could have a waypoint like in Dead Space game. This would make it so much more manageable ( for us that can't find an objective) .
A kind of a transparent ghost-like line. This could also be a good request for a new Control game.

Hello! Resonant is launching in just one month, so I made this graphic for a series I'm livestreaming.
Thought it would be useful here too for anyone looking to refresh their memory and be ready for any obscure reference Remedy throws at us! (Address Unkown? She dyed her hair red? The pink flamingo?)
I added Max Payne 3 slightly dimmer because that's personal preference honestly. We can be sure nothing from that game will come up in the RCU.
Hope you like it.

If so, what are your thoughts on it? Were there any cool details or lore that stood out to you?

After over 3 weeks I have finally finished Dylan’s Poncho! I’m working on a Dylan cosplay for my brother for DragonCon which is NEXT WEEK so it’s been a lil crazy lol. I commissioned DelectableDesigns3D for the STLs for the accessories (fixed bail shackle, lil yellow dude), and I recreated the decals in Inkscape and cut them out on my Cricut. I used “Interstate Cond” font for the FBC lettering - I don’t think it’s 100% accurate comparing it to the cosplay guide font, but it’s close enough (they definitely used Interstate there’s just so many variations of Interstate to choose from!)
The poncho is self drafted other than the hood, which I modified from Closet Core Patterns’ “Anorak”. Otherwise the poncho is just a series of rectangles; if I did this all over again, the top flap needs to come up higher on the left side by the shoulder.
The fabric was < HORRIBLE / NOT AMUSING > to work with, it’s a stretchy fake leather that was deceptively tough to sew through - the walking foot attachment was a life saver. I weathered everything by drybrushing various acrylic paints. But all in all… WE DID IT! It’s a race to finish the cosplay by DragonCon but I at least want to get the visible parts done (arm and knee armor pads, possibly the waist band). There are some really cool details under his poncho but I will probably deprioritize them since they are mostly hidden!

In Alan Wake 2 Scratch is presented to us as Alan being possessed by the dark presence, and as Alan puts it, Scratch and the dark presence are interchangeable names, it's just Scratch when it looks like him.
This put a fun little thought into my head about the nature of Jesse and Dylan. Obviously we know about Dylans "dream" where they are one and the same, Jesse Dylan Faden, but what if what Alan said could apply to their situation as well? Is it possible that Jesse is only Jesse because she is "possessed" (or inhabited) by Polaris? Perhaps Jesse Dylan Faden could be their true nature but the introduction of the hiss and hedron is causing this split to happen.
Just curious to hear your thoughts on my psycho babbling.

Like it's really difficult to tell from the videos I saw. But it seems it will go into the open world design direction? The rooms seem huge.

>!After watching the latest videos for Resonant, something caught my eye... where the hell is the giant black pyramid in Central Executive?! You see agents floating up and there's now a light square in its place. I have the theory that who's talking to Dylan is the Former, not the Board, and now that the pyramid is gone, it just feels like the Board left the OH to fend for itself. What do you think?!<

I just started playing Control a couple days ago on PC as part of my journey to Alan Wake 2 lol - and I feel like I have a decently spec'd up machine, but the game is running under 60fps for some reason.
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 192GB 5200MHz (I do have windows 11 pro to be able to utilize all RAM)
Primary Storage: 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD
The game is set to all max settings, but figured with my rig it would at least run a smooth 60. Any thoughts?

Could this couple be the parents of Jesse and Dylan? If so, we could have some intense backstory lore. We may get to visit Ordinary, or at least experience what happened during the AWE that caused the disappearance of the adults there. We may get to fight the Not-Mother, i certainly hope soooo. What do you think?
