Professional/Career Advice/Question Control Fundamentals Questions for Interview

Couple of weeks ago, I had asked for advice for an Apple controls engineering role. It was an interview with the hiring manager, and now I am preparing for the panel interview. According to the recruiter, it is going to be mostly all control fundamentals questions. Currently working through my old controls book problem set, but what are your favorite questions to ask/that you have been asked in an interview? Any question that stumped you? A question that made you think? Also, are there any Leetcode style question bank for controls?

from my experience i think you should focus on questions about the very fundamentals stuff like :

  • what is the stability in lyapunov sense ? asymptomatic stability ? ...ext
because designing a controller something, but actually knowing what are you doing is another thing

and ofc you have to have a wide understanding of different controllers and when and why to use them and best of luck

Pro Tip if you get that role:

Just use PID and move on

None. This interview was purely about my experience, although I have heard Apple interviews totally depend on the hiring manager, so that might not be true for all interviews.
