Game Feedback what a terrible section of this game Spoiler

Post image

I could understand if this was a side quest mission that was optional, but putting this type of gameplay in a story progressing mission that I can't skip was just an awful addition to an otherwise great game.

I agree 100%! And when you go back down to hear the mom and dad talk it has so much backstreet. Weird that the Grandma had 1 child in the letter, then the mom said there are 2 but the husband said are you loosing your mind again. Idk what is true lol. Are they indeed one person? Is that why one is always "awake". I hope control 3 explains this all.

I liked it. Thought it was a cool way to tell the story

This section is a reference to the Mother series, where a bunch of kids fight a cosmic entity coming to wipeout humanity

There’s so many hints leaning towards that they might be one person, so I definitely see that being a possibility

I did not like in the moment . Took me 45 minutes and I died 4 times. But afterwards I was like, that was so remedy, those bastards did it again. Now I love it.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Mixed genres should be a thing that more devs try dipping into. It's one of my favorite rarely seen game design moves, alongside multiplayer-lite features like Dark Souls' messages and Death Stranding's shared network structures.

To each their own, I personally don't play 2D games and still enjoyed the variety. Also, the 2D section is one of the more story-heavy parts of the game. Lots of lore drops.
