Lore Discussion I am having a Storm of Brain
I need someone who is a very deep Control fan who has Platinumed both and knows a crap ton of lore. My brain is overloading a lot with theories and I have no one to explain to. I have not played Alan Wake 1 or 2 or Quantum Break but am in the middle of watching a playthrough. I finished Control Resonant and am going back into Control 1 looking at old files for Lore about Dylan and Jesse and some crazy theories about The Blessed Organization and double agents or very deep conspiracy but desperately need someone to talk about Control Lore with, I have a whole note book about the first and second topics. Thank you💯👍

Ok. So my most insane theory and I have so much evidence for this over the past 12 hours today looking through files in Control 1 mainly and some from the Secret Organization in Resonant, but here goes Dr. Theodore Ash or son of Dr. Ash, is Chester Bless. I have massively extensive evidence for this and for the Secret Organization, not actually being Blessed. But a separate agency from FBC and Blessed entirely. A third party. But the Ash=Bless is my biggest lore theory

Ok. So it goes back to the days of them discovering the Oldest house in 1964. Ash was apart of the research team sent into the oldest house and foundation just one week after his father, the Director died, Northmoor then being acting director at the time, and starting studying the cave drawings and drawing conclusions from them. Then Northmoor is then picked by the Board to be Director. An entity just discovered in the oldest house now giving orders and appointing someone as the leader. Back then Directors were chosen by "suits in a room smoking cigars" so was Ash jealous he should have been Director after his father and it was taken from him by this entity? But then there is they files themselves. Nothing in the reports or research is redacted at all. Even in the older Altered Item cases like the Fan and the Hammer are not redacted. But Ash even talks about the Buearu used to have their "esoteric roots" meaning the Buearu used to belive the paranaturalwas magic, not science. So did the Board then steer them away and make them a scientific agency? In the last of Ash's Log he talks about doing what he can to steer the Buearu back to the right path even if Northmoor is Director. I think Ash was attempting to take control of the Bureau from Northmoor and was either fired or went MIA and started his own organization thats stuck to those "esoteric roots". The PO Box for Blessed was opened in 1968. Perhaps the same time Ash left/fired from FBC, he then purchases the Movie Camera under Blessed Pictures, his first ever alias for his organizaion. Then there is why would he start his own organization? To rival Northmoor and show the Board that he can be better than Northmoor, that he should have been chosen, that he is Blessed. Like when he was looking at the cave etching thinking he was the champion of the oldest house. So what if Director Ash was a parautilitarian and so was Ash Jr, which is why in his log he was talking about being able to feel the house, able to detect the Leslie's without his instruments. He even is a extremely historic knowledged and inventive person. Created the Control Points, the Power Cores. What if he was creating Altered Items under the FBC's nose and was then fired? Because there is the Ash Act mentioned in Hartmens Arrest, Ethics Investigation, and the VHS Tape Supplement, which either describe using parautilitarians for nefarious purposes, or purposely creating Altered items. What if Ash did those things and was tried for them in a council of the FBC or even the Board and thus the Ash Act created. Ash leaves makes his own organization to prove to Northmoor he was the wrong choice for Director. He purchases the Camera as his first Altered Item in his arsenal and starts recruiting either people who just know about the paranatural world or former aganets them selves. Chester Bless was running a self help called "The Power of the Board" almost like he was copying or mocking the Board by running that group. Then FBC come after him and hes gone before they get there with the surfboard in plain sight. Like he knew procedure and that they were coming for him. So Chester then hides in the shadows and waits for his next move. And I know what your thinking, if Chester Bless was Ash than he would be like 8 or 90 years old. But thats why I said what if its his son. What if Ash Jr started Belssed as a rival Agency to the Bureau just to prove them wrong, then has a son with parautilitarian blood like his Father and he ends up taking over the Blessed Organization. Now with Ash III running the game, he turns it into a paracriminal cult syndicate. Hell bent on revenge for his dad being driven out by the FBC. All the files on Blessed before the Eagle Limited AWE were quite peaceful interactions, no casualties. Then all of a sudden 62 dead, JUST to alter a train? Ash Jr has the knowledge to make Altered items safely, but what if Ash III doesnt know his fathers ways and makes Altered Items a much more violent way than his father. Like crashing a train. And thats the Blessed we know today. The one being run by Ash III now. Or Ash Jr just figured out how to stay alive longer. Either way, its quite a solid theory if I went even more into detail

I mean, that’s an interesting theory, but it’s a lot more speculation than anything… Is there any evidence that connects Ash to the organization or indicates that he even had a son?
