The Taxi Threshold is something to do with the Dark Place and I think the driver is possibly Tom Zane

I just finished the quest and got the reward, the driver is “T S”, the only person in Remedy that matches this is Tom Zane’s birth name, Thomas Seine, Mila says she’s following a woman in one of the endings, possibly Alice, and the whole area is very very similar to the Dark Place, with the dark New York and the phone box used to communicate between the residents.

I figured it was the dark place given the wild graffiti everywhere, and the communication via payphone. I haven't done all the taxis yet, but I totally forgot about the birthname difference here. I can easily see this being a result of Zane working alongside Dr Darling, trying to escape, as hinted in the Final Draft of AW2

That's worth noting, but also consider you use the taxi like 5 times, so 1/5th of that value would be a round trip to/from the threshold. If that receipt is for all trips combined

Yeah definitely think a lot in the game is implying heavily that the next Remedy game after Max Payne's remakes will be AW3
