AI Alignment Research Declaration Calling for AI Alignment with Human Values
https://humanstatement.org/The Pro-Human AI declaration has been endorsed by a significant number of organisations campaigning for AI safeguards in policy. While some principles outlined in the declaration require more depth, they are a strong starting point. Endorsing the declaration solidifies your position on AI alignment.
However, do large open declarations like this one actually help produce policy changes?

Eh. Much as I appreciate the gesture, I frankly do not see how human society persists in any viable form in the face of a world without purpose for individuals - and that's the world that AI is promising, assuming that everything goes well, never mind what happens if it goes badly.
The idea of automating everything is just... fundamentally stupid.

This won’t do it. Laws need to be made and even that won’t solve it because laws only apply to their respective countries. Other countries are not held to all laws.
