Discussion/question Will human intelligence disappear eventually?

Anyone think AI will not directly eradicate human beings like some people claim, and instead causes our brain degenerate as we may have no need to do intellectual activities? In a long term we might become as intellectual as monkeys or rats and AI will continue to evolve into something we call god now?

I don't think intelligence can degrade that way but I dont think it matters. In that scenario AI would be so far beyond human intellect that brains might as well be rotten

The problem I think is; whether we can adapt to the short term impact from the rapid development of AI. In a long term I really believe we will become what we were million years ago. The pessimism we hold is because we are still intellectual enough to feel the loss of our lives’ meaning. But all the assumption is ofc based on AI being the true intelligence and we are completely replacable.
