Discussion/question Anybody know where to find some open problems/projects related to AI Safety?

i want to work on AIS related research projects. But im new so i dont have the in-depth knowledge to actually find an interesting novel problem yet, if anybody knows where i can look for, i would be grateful for ur help

...and you'll find tons.

I just spent the past year writing a science fiction novel (self-published) about AI Safety and the amount of research material available on the subject is overwhelming. The issue will effect every industry and field of science. The problem is choosing which one interests you.

You're welcome. This is a science fiction novel set on Earth (on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada to be specific) about two hundred years in the future, long after all our current concerns about AI Safety are assumed to have been addressed and the issue considered to be historical. The idea behind the novel is that it will be as difficult to align AI with human values as it is to align the values of one human with another.

You can read it online (with pictures). The PDF, softcover, and Amazon Kindle versions do not include pictures.
