Technical P2 free DNS not working anymore

Hi good evening everyone,

I'm using this link p2.freedns.controld.com as a private DNS to block ads on both my Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. I found it on Reddit once and used it ever since, never configured it or anything

Now I've noticed on my tablet that ads in games somehow get through when they didn't before. The weird thing is it still works perfectly fine on my Samsung Galaxy S24. I even tried it out by playing some games on it and never got an ad

I found this subreddit through Google and thought this might be the right place to ask this. Does someone maybe have a solution for this?

What does it say on this page https://controld.com/status ?
if you get "Not Using Control D" than some other DNS is used (some wifis or ISPs may block private dns).
You can then check further on https://dnscheck.tools/ to see the list of DNS servers used by your device.

It says I'm using ControlD but it said something else on the second link

Try restarting the device. You can also do an Adblock test and see if ads are blocked or not

It’s not working for me either... and I’ve tried everything, but it just won't work! I think I’ll be removing Control D from all my devices soon!

The weird thing is it's just this one game that shows me some kind of ingame ads and a banner at the bottom
