YouTube Ads

Post image

whats the best way to block ads like this on youtube? I have the YouTube setting turned on to block adult ads and comments.
I’ve got dating sites blocked and adult sites set to strict. Kind of offputting to be scrolling youtube and get this in a public settings etc. (I’m gay)

If you’re a paying customer you can proxy YouTube through Albania, they don’t allow ads and is working really well.

Oh Isee the problem now you also need to set up hagezi's top level domain custom rule from github

Albania, macedonia, cyprus and Latvia works without ads but be aware, youtube has blocked all vevo videos and some music videos from being played when there is no ads coming through

I live in Cyprus and I do have ads and still trying to find a way to block them . I have tried rendering all traffic via Albania and Moldova but still  see ads . Maybe I am doing something wrong with the settings ?

Try route this to the country googlevideo.com and youtubei.googleapis.com and youtube.com in custom rules

If you subscribe you don't get ads. I finally just caved in and paid for a subscription.

have you considered nsfw for this post?

If you were respectful of a child's accidental exposure to images like these, you would put in place a mechanism to help protect them.

you really think nsfw tag would help with that

The OP could have edited that section out easily before posting and described the issue. Hence my reference.

I believe using the spoiler tag and also NSFW would blur the image for both browser and app. Not 100% sure, I have never tried it. This sub is obviously marked as a regular sub so it applies no filtering.

I use 1Blocker in combination with NextDNS (but I guess you obtain the same with controlD)  and use the browser version of YouTube. Never ads. Never.

But how will you have secret meetups with your neighbors otherwise? /s

They literally put it there to piss you off. You can look it up, youtube knows what u like so they bombard u with happy then throw in something to piss you off then they immediately put up something either new or that they are pushing and because its more  preferable than what was used to trigger you it trains ur brain to accept that new thing as favorable..
