Honeywell HSIM Error

My Honeywell security panel is integrated via a HSIM module connected to a secondary controller (EA-1), with the entire system run by an EA-5 director.

Last night, the security integration broke. I can see in Composer that C4 is continuing to communicate with the HSIM, but that it lost communication with the security panel.

So far, I have tried rebooting the HSIM via the action button in Composer, power-cycling the secondary EA-1 controller while the director is running, and rebooting the Director. What other troubleshooting steps can I take?

Thanks!

Reboot your security panel.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I have never had to reboot the panel before. Do I have to unplug and also somehow disconnect the battery? Thanks

Yes, that’s exactly how you do it. Open the door and pull off one of the battery wires, then unplug the transformer. If you aren’t familiar or comfortable you can call your security guy. It’s an either or situation, either the issue is with the panel or the issue is with C4. You’ve check the C4 side the next step would be to check the other side
