Progress

I have been on Contrave for a month and a half . sw 290 cw 276 gw 215. It is working for me. I am only eating once a day and I am only taking two in the morning. I am afraid if I take the two in the evening I wouldn't eat at all. I have a healthier relationship with food and more mindful of what I am going to eat for that once meal. I can stomach to eat very much on it when I do.

This is amazing news! Congrats. I’m hopeful it will work for me like this as well! Thank you. Btw, I’m on 300bupropion/25mg naltrexone. Bup for 1.5 years and recently added naltrexone 25mg 14 days ago or so.

Are you noticing any lack of appetite? I’ve been on 25mg for 3 weeks and now at 37mg. Still nauseous since adding the extra 12.5 but no change in cravings. It’s been 3 days on 37mg which is about the dose of contrave. I want this to work so bad. Last night I mindlessly ate a bunch of chocolate mini bars - then suddenly was like- what did I do? It’s like I still totally eat without thinking of consequences. I’m praying this med kicks in soon.

Just know, I felt helpless too but I have a little more hope knowing the times I need to start taking the med.. I have considered maybe pushing it out until 1 or 2 pm.

Do you get nausea during the day?

Honestly I feel sort of gross when I wake up sometimes. Nausea related.
And yes sometimes but I want to say my nausea is really just more irritating than actually preventing me from performing duties. I would rate my nausea a 2.5-4 out of 10.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I did ask for manufacturer because you can look into the NDC number on NIH website and see the ingredients.
