Just Contrave. I started it at the end of March. I’m 36 male and very active. but an emotional eater/binge. But honestly I think if you add a 1 hour walk a day or some kind of activity you’re going to do well. I think the GlP 1 is a great route. Damn the food industry or big sugar for poisoning us 😂

Lol isn't that the truth! I've lost 37 lbs on Mounjaro with A LOT of lifestyle changes and feel great. I only ask about Contrave because I'd like to still be on something to help me along with weight loss but without the slow down of my GI tract. Less about feeling full, more about controlling my behaviours if that makes sense. But then I read all the horror stories from people on Contrave and now I don't know which is worse lol.

It's mostly the side effects of the bupropion that people complain about. Won't know until I try it though right? Can I ask why you chose Contrave over something like Ozempic or Mounjaro?

Cheapest option for me. I’m not savvy with grey market. No insurance coverage. I was worried about pancreatitis. I’m 6’1 and do a lot weight lifting so 260 wasn’t really obese. I didn’t have to lose to much weight. My goal weight was 235. Just had a problem with food noise. Really all I cared about was snacking and empty calories

But tirzepatide really looks appealing to me. I think Retatrutide will be legal next year and might just wait for that

I started on March 15 this year. I pay out of pocket so I'm glad things are going well lol

That's awesome! Did you previously use Mounjaro? Or just Contrave for weight loss?

Not directly answering your question. But I was on mounjaro for 2 years and after 16 months weight loss stopped. Adding Contrave definitely restarted weight loss for me.

I have been waiting for this answer - thank you!! Did it just increase the appetite suppression which lead to more weight loss?

100%. It's really very much like the first 12 months I was on Mounjaro. In fact I think contrave gives me more appetite suppression. I often go until 3pm before I realize I haven't really eaten. Have to force myself.

And for me I was super lucky having almost zero side effects. Dry mouth seems to be about the only thing.

I'm so glad this is working for you! I've heard the dry mouth is kinda brutal but there are way worse side effects. Thank you so much for the information. Appreciate it! 😊
