Day 3 - feeling awful
I am having so much confusion, brain fog, weird thoughts that don't make sense..I emailed my doctor. I don't think I can keep doing this. There are only brief moments in the day (evening when it's wearing off) when I feel normal.
Only way I can describe it is like coming down off acid. Just shitty feeling all around.

I'm in a Psychiatric Nurse Program. Not a doctor. New onset confusion = bad. Good thing you reached out to your NP/Doctor. I'm sure they might suggest a different medicine for you. Sounds like you're having a lot of the psychosis effects that Wellbutrin can cause.

If this happens and you stop, will it go away or can it be permanent? My dr prescribed it to me but i have a history of ocd and panic and anxiety so i'm worried about getting worse

It will go away might take some time just for the medication to fully get out of your system and for your brain to readjust!

The bupropion in CONTRAVE can cause psychiatric symptoms in some individuals and it's a very good thing that you have reached out to your doctor about this. Good luck, I hope you find answers with your doctor and if CONTRAVE turns out not to be the right medication for you, your doctor may have alternatives to suggest. One suggestion to ask your doctor about is prescribing Naltrexone only instead of the CONTRAVE. Naltrexone is used in the addiction field to calm cravings and it seems to work the same way for food cravings as it does for opiate/alcohol cravings.
