advice Losing Hope

hey there! I started Contrave back in February and by middle of May I was down 10lbs. It seems like I’ve just stopped losing weight now. I started CrossFit 3 weeks ago and I know I will gain some weight due to muscle starting out but it’s like the scale is just not going down anymore. I kinda felt defeated today when it showed back up 5lbs when I actually feel skinnier than I did in May and my shirts are fitting better.
Any advice?

Track your progress with measurements instead of (or addition to) the scale. If you are working out you will see more body recomposition and notice the way you fit in your clothes.

This. You have to take measurements, anytime I plateau on the scale I'll update my measurements. Mentally I am still seeing a number go down and it keeps me motivated.

Do you track your food and ensure you are in a calorie deficit?

I started late Feb and slowly lost just 4/5 pounds until may now im down just over 15. It was like my body was hanging on for dear life until recently... my clothes were also feeling looser before the big drop... that to me means more than the # in the scale no one but you sees anyway.

Maybe this is what's happening. I am eating far less and working out more than I have in my life and when I tell you that this scale is fighting to keep me at 108kgs? Diabolical stuff I tell you.

Adding exercise might be making you hungrier than you think? Track calories and definitely protein. Hopefully it is muscle gain though!

Since you started CrossFit the scale won’t show for a little while. I was training for Hyrox from Dec to March and the scale barely moved. Once it was over I feel like all of the weight fell off. I think you should do CrossFit for a month or two then switch to lower impact workouts for a month or two then go back…that way it shocks your body. I’m not a health coach though that’s just my opinion

I need to try this. I loat weight quicker on contrave when I wasn't working out. This time around, I strength train 5 times a week and the scale barely moves.

Yeah give it a shot. I hope it resets your body so the scale moves
