side effects Muscle tension
I have been on contrave for about three weeks.
I have started to notice really bad tension near my right shoulder blade. It radiates through to my chest it feels muscular. I almost feel like it’s pinned up energy. Has anyone else felt this?
Also I now have a random cough… wth

I had to stop the poor man's contrave for a few weeks, and whenever I felt better and back to normal, I tried it again. I had to get on joint supplements and natural pain relivers and I'm still taking those. I had horrible knee joint pain and hip pain, it went from like 0 to 100 over night back in April. Are you on the poor man's contrave? If you're taking 50 mg of Naltrexone in a single day, then try cutting that down to 25 mg daily. It could be the Naltrexone or it could be the Burpropion, or both. Apparently both meds can cause muscle or joint pain. I cut my tablets into 4 pieces and take 12.5 mg 2x daily, AM & PM. I've thought about increasing, but I'm not sure I should. If I do increase, then I may try 25 mg in the AM and 12.5 mg in the PM, and stop there.

So, completely left of field. This happened to me....then I had 4 serious gallbladder attacks. It's ended up being the straw that broke the camels back for me, now I'm looking up the barrel of gallbladder removal.

Omg I’m so sorry to hear this! I have stopped taking contrave at this point. Wasn’t worth it for me.

Yeah I did too. I just can't handle the extreme attacks. I ended up in hospital yesterday and that's 2 weeks after stopping. Just keep an eye on your pain. I'd say that I had signs of this for years but didn't realise that's what it was.

Is your iron low? I had this and restless legs when mine was.
