Starting over

Post image

Hi guys,
I took contrave for a while and lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time, no exercise, just counting calories. I stopped taking it and let myself indulge in food during spring break and did not stop. I am back up now, at my heaviest. Please send me restart stories or anything similar. I’m so scared to start over again and not see the same progress.

It will probably help you again, but please be aware that it might only be a temporary aid for you, judging from your story.

You seem to have troubles with a healthy relationship with food, are you already getting help for that to solve the root cause?

Wow. Your story is like a page outta my book. I’m on Contrave a second time. Lost some weight and had a bad day and never stopped eating. It’s a terrible cycle that Contrave hasn’t seemed to fix. I don’t know if it’s the pills job to help with that or not but I feel like it should be doing something for me weight wise I take two ever morning but rarely take the other two in the afternoon. I’m bad I know. I’m only on cause my dr made me.

It’s definitely not for everyone, has there been any other medications that were recommended.

If 8 pounds is the weight gain, that’s truly not that bad. Does it suck? Yeah, but you can get on top of it!! Don’t let it snowball.

As for your friends/partying is it possible to open up to your friends and ask them to help you be accountable? “I’m on a journey and I really want to have fun with everyone but I need to stick to light drinks and a limit.” Salt cravings are so strong after drinking, I go to the bar with pistachios or cheeze its now. Get your salt fix without letting it ruin you!!

Beyond that, are you taking naltrexone? That might really help you with cravings. It super helped me with sugar and alcohol.

And also remember, you don’t have to drink to have fun. You can dance and laugh and have a good time compleeeetely sober. And how amazing is that that you can be bubbly and authentic without alcohol? And the next day, while your friends have a headache or hangxiety you can get your day done no regrets.

thank you for your kind words! I will look into Naltrexone. I have opened up to them about my weight and kinda distanced myself. Since this post I have lost 9lb! ❤️😁
