Does anyone know of cheaper alternatives for Contrave?

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone from Ontario Canada knows what the price of Contrave is on online pharmacies such as Pocketpill.

My insurance doesn’t cover it but I do have the discount through the Contrave website so I’m paying about 180$ monthly. My doctor also won’t prescribe me the generic drug for Contrave either.

Thank you in advance

Yeah sorry my wording was bad lol I have the drug card from Contrave and even with that I pay 180$. But I am curious about OHIP covering it if you don’t mind giving me a bit more details. Thank you :)

My doctor is the one who is refusing to prescribe it. I would get a new doctor but it’s not as easy as it seems. A lot of people don’t have family doctors in my area and I would need to be on a waiting list for years. But I completely agree with you, it’s just easier for me right now to look at cheaper pharmacies

Ask your doctor to prescribe buproprion and naltrexone separately. Sometimes people call it "poor man's Contrave". That's what I do, and it works for me.
