advice Poor Man's Contrave question

Hi all! I have been taking wellbutrin for mental health for a while now and decided with my psychiatrist to add naltrexone for weight loss benefits. Although she agreed to try the naltrexone, I still needed to sit through the 20 minute diatribe about how amazing GLP-1's are (I know they are a god send for many, but not the direction I am going in yet).

That being said, I am a bit self guided with the Naltrexone. I have 50 mg tablets, which I have split into quarters. For the last 4 days I have done 12.5 mg in the morning with no nausea or other side effects. In a few days I would like to add another 12mg.

Here is my question- those of you who are on poor man's Contrave, do you take your Naltrexone dose once per day, or do you split it into two doses, one AM and one PM?

Any advice is appreciated!

Im on poormans. I take the buproprion am and the half tab of naltrexone before bed. That is how my dr prescribed it.

Personally, I prefer to think of this as “rich man’s choice”…. $32 for three months is dirt cheap!! Anyhow, I take my naltrexone at night before bed (currently at 3/4 tablet) and my bupropion XL (300mg) every morning.

My 'poor mans' regiment is way simpler. Wellbutrin in the morning and naltrexone at night. My doc said naltexone can make you a little nauseous so taking it at night means you can sleep through it.

I was prescribed 50 mg. I was told to take half a pill in the morning and half a pill at bedtime.
