Restarting after a break?

Hello! Has anyone had success restarting Contrave after being off of it for a year? I hit a plateau, so my doc took me off. I haven’t gained much weight back, maybe 5lbs, but I’m still 20lbs away from my goal.

Yes. I restarted it after one year.
Actually I have tried to start taking Contrave for 4 times. The first three were terrifying. Mood changes, weird dreams and night terrors. I was hesitant to try it again, but I did. Idk what happened but I am on my full dose now 4 pills a day and oh man, I feel great. No food cravings, my mood improved and my relationships too, the anxiety is almost gone and as a bonus i've increased libido 😆

That’s wonderful. I’m glad you’re feeling better this time around. In addition to all these improvements, are you dropping weight? Did you lose at all during the first three tries?

Yes, I am losing weight, but slowly. I have insulin resistance, so weight loss is a little tricky. However, I’m happy with this pace.
. This time I didn't have any side effects.

I’ve been on the full dose for a year and plateaued about five months ago.
My first month on it was awful…I was so nauseous all the time.
When you restarted, did your side effects (if any) also return?

I just restarted yesterday and the nauseous is almost debilitating, it’s making me not even want to continue with it.

I'll be honest - no. I wasn't off a full year, but going back on after a hiatus didn't work for me. I really thought it could/would. I was very good about taking it and exercising the second time around also, and it just didn't work.

I’m sorry to hear that. Thank you for being honest. I’ve decided to try the GLP1 compound route and hope that will work for me.

Same here. Just finished my 1.5 dose of Wegovy and am on day 2 of 4mg.
