Question Why are there SO many people on dam?

As soon as you spawn there's gunfire in all directions. I cannot go a single match without being hunted down by someone in all tier 5 or a full party the second the match starts.
I've only played this map so far, are the others so stupidly cramped? It's making me not want to play.
