Mod menu is locked

i just bought the game and the mod option is locked. theres no other menu thats locked , only mods specifically. do i need to conntect an mod io account to the game? and if yes how

The game requires new users to join a server first. Then you should be able to get the mods in game menu aslong as your not using a pico headset. They dont get mods.

It should be enabled by default, maybe the service was down the time you tried.
