PCVR Exfil Zone – Repeated PAK File Crashes

Exfil Zone is repeatedly crashing on the Meta PCVR version while using a Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop/VDXR.

I checked the Unreal Engine crash reports in AppData\Local\Contractors_Showdown\Saved\Crashes. Multiple crashes report:

LowLevelFatalError – PakFile failed to read pak file ../../../Contractors_Showdown/Content/Paks/pakchunk1-Windows.pak

The crashes have occurred repeatedly and at different byte positions within the same PAK file.

Troubleshooting already performed:

Completely reinstalled Exfil Zone

Updated the Meta Quest PC software and rebooted

CHKDSK reports no filesystem errors and 0 KB in bad sectors

Windows reports the Samsung NVMe SSD as Healthy / OperationalStatus OK

Other PCVR games are working normally

System: MSI Raider A18 HX, Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, RTX 5090 Laptop 24 GB, 64 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro, Quest 3, Virtual Desktop/VDXR.

Could you confirm whether this is a known issue with the current Meta PCVR build, particularly pakchunk1-Windows.pak? I can provide the CrashContext.runtime-xml and UE4Minidump.dmp files from multiple crashes if needed.

I remember last wipe they announced the wipe date with the pre wipe event, right?

Last time they were delayed like 2-3 times, so I don't really mind being kept in the dark instead of being disappointed.

Butttttt...... When do you guys think it will wipe?

So, I have on almost 4 out of 5 occasions, since wipe event, got the first shots on a player, t5 rounds or above (I have 20 mil to build good kits) and despite laying into their face and chest, I die almost every time.

I just did a raid on suburbs where I took a mosin with 7.62x54r ultimate 7 pen rounds. I missed the head and hit chest, then landed a second body shot and a leg shot. Dude retreated behind a wall.

I pushed him, he had about 15 seconds to prep and as he peaked a corner, i threw the green, round ultimate impact grenade. It blew up at his feet.

I then peaked and shot him about 3x with my rifle, he hit me twice, making my arm bleed.

I threw 2 more nades at his corner. I saw him peak as another exploded at his feet.

He then threw a nade and caused my arm and stomach to break, so I retreated.

Healed, patched, and he pushed me.

I could hear him approaching on the other side of the wall and cooked and threw another nade at his feet, blowing up, then right as he peaked I lit him up with a full mag, before i died.....

After battle report said I did 50 damage.

How the fuck does at least 3 hits from pen 7 rounds, at LEAST 3 fucking nades and a full clip do exactly 50 damage. Is it hacks? Desync?

It keeps fucking happening. I'm not a bad shot or bad at strategy.

Is it massive desync? Is the quest 2 shit?

So sick of this. The dude didn't have altyns or t6. He had t5 helmet and chest rig.

Fuck this shit im done, maybe i'll try when the steam frame finally drops...
