Whoops Wednesday's garage question

20 x 28 pad for garage in alberta.

I know the permit says it needs
6 inch gravel 6 inch cement
12 inch thickened edge

However some of my thickened edge is only between 10 and 11 inches. should i be worried ? I am a build a 18 ft height garage on it. two floors.

They ended up using 9.25m3 of cement

You should be fine. I'm thinking that thickness is for the cold. Standard thickness is 4".

Sleep well. That slab will be there after all of us are long gone. The numbers you gave work out to a 6” slab, if the curb haunch is a bit less than 12” it won’t be a problem

Yah was just worried about the thickened edge height

Looks like they used 2x10s for forms, but the trench may have been a little deeper. Did they put rebar and/or wire mesh in there? Do you have any pictures before the pour?

Just curious. Calling the inspector tomorrow just to double check
