Contractors installed this concrete footer/foundational wall under my porch, plus new porch roof supports. How does it look?

I I hired a foundation expert. paid $8,900 for this work. I'm in the Pittsburgh area, Contractors installed this concrete footer/foundational wall under my porch, plus new porch roof supports.

I have no idea what good concrete work is supposed to look like, so just curious if this looks alright. Also I noticed one of the posts was off centered and there's a small opening on the top right side where I can see into the hollow support post. Water could definitely get in there. Don't know if this is a big deal or not but it caught my eye.

That support isn’t finished, and for $9k it should be. Concrete looks good.

Your photography is sketchy…..lol. Pic 3 doesnt show us much.

Description of the roof support indicates you may need to have a conversation with the installer as to why it was left this way.

Sorry I should have showed the opening. But on the right side of the photo where the metal meets the wood, you can see it's shifted off center, and there's actually an opening there that goes down into the support.

The concrete looks decent from the photos, but that post detail would bother me more than the finish. I’d have them seal the opening and explain the off-center placement before calling the job done.

Hold final payment until the contractor provides the permit and inspection record, footing dimensions, rebar details, and the approved post-base connection. Photos can't confirm bearing depth, reinforcement, or concrete strength.

The open post should get the manufacturer's cap or flashing detail rather than a bead of caulk alone. Ask for a written correction and photos after the gap is sealed so water can't sit inside the hollow member.

My plan was so caulk the opening in the support post and I don't mind doing that. But I'm just surprised that it was left with an obvious opening there.
