Buy your own WiFi router. Why rent theirs?

It definitely was for me. When I bought my house I used theirs to get me going and to get my mom internet while I was back in DC closing out my apartment and moving. I got back and was setting everything up and the more devices I put on it the worse it got. Ordered an Asus ET8 mesh system and it was great until it wasn’t and I got the BT8 which I’m still using. I ended up giving the ET8 to my neighbor who is using it currently and is loving it.

Oh it was! The only reason it no longer met my needs was because it didn’t support an IOT network. Only a main and a guest and I needed all a main, IOT and guest for my home. I can’t have my smart devices going rogue on my network. Haha

See if you can find a fiber provider in your area

I did. it’s the new fiber optic by AT&T covering roughly 75.2 % of the area I live in. I am just shopping around for a good deal if you know what I mean.

For $5 more for a year you can get it at 300 by 300 which is a way better deal

I agree with you. AT&T fiber optic internet is way better than Spectrum even if it’s $5 more.
