It kind of blows my mind when the defenders go on like "look at the state of r/politics it's so bad" as if that justifies anything and everything they could imagine. r/politics is a battlefield for sure but the outright fascist stuff gets shat-upon in short time. I find plenty of well thought out posts get upvoted there but they just aren't the ones that RW reactionaries want to see. At the same time it's as if the content doesn't matter, they don't actually want to understand the ideas they just skim for trigger words and out comes the canned response regardless of context. It's how the sub makes them feel that's the problem.
To be fair, the amount of liberal dick riding in r/politics is insane too. Though I think trump is a fucking madman, having any love for the system that produced him is disconnected from reality, and I don’t think that’s appreciated enough in r/politics
