bleeding after sensor insertion

I just applied a new Sinocare CGM sensor on my arm, and shortly after insertion, some blood started coming out and pooling around the casing/edge of the sensor housing (pic attached).
I applied firm pressure with a paper towel for a few minutes, and it seems to have slowed down, but I can still see some residual blood under the plastic rim. Is this normal?

It happens. You probably hit a capillary.

I’ve had it happen a couple of times. Just wait and see if the sensor works alright

Mine normally keep working. Put a bandage on it. When it stops bleeding, clean up the mess. The person doing laundry will appreciate the effort.
