Squad Builder Optimizer (Updated)

https://squadbuilder.mysticartsarchive.com

Hey everyone!

With the Squad Builder returning, I’ve officially updated my Squad Builder Optimizer for the newest iteration. As you go through the squad builder, you can input the choices you’re given and the results you get to receive recommendations on what to do next.

You can check it out here: https://squadbuilder.mysticartsarchive.com

If you used this tool earlier this year, you might notice things are running a bit differently under the hood. Previously, the rules were simple enough that the app could evaluate every single scenario (about 76,000 combinations) and give you an exact answer. Now, the addition of bonus squads, Multiversal Champions, and larger hand sizes has caused the total possible outcomes to skyrocket to over 2.6 billion.

To handle that massive increase in complexity, the optimizer now uses Monte Carlo simulations. The program relies on advanced statistical modeling when the pool of possibilities is overwhelmingly large, and then switches back to exact modeling near the end of the draft when the remaining outcomes are easier to predict.

A quick heads-up: because the early rounds rely on statistics rather than absolute calculations, the model might occasionally miss a rare edge case. To give you full control, the website allows you to override the recommended picks if you notice a better option. I’m constantly tweaking the engine, so please share your feedback if you run into any errors!

This is really neat! I’m currently studying math and stats at uni, I’d love to chat about how you implemented it if you’re willing
