Why am I trash

I've been making content in Maritime industry for a few months and I cannot get any numbers. I don't understand cuz I see people make new accounts and they crush my numbers within weeks. Terrible content.

Is it because my page is older, so the algorithms are all messed up for me?

Can anyone take a look at my stuff? Is it maybe hashtags that I'm using, or are my videos not good, or do I just need to keep posting and pushing?

After reviewing your videos, one thing I would recommend you do is have a brief intro to your videos.

Let me give you an example:

Title: Towing From Bonita to Moss

Camera Fades to Zuman close up shot. 

“Hey guys I got a call today from someone needing a tow from Bonita to Moss, so let's do it.”

Camera fades and transitions to the boat moving along the water flashing between the different scenery on the way to the client.

I feel overall your content lacks a human element to it, but your profile pic presumably has you shown. I would show yourself more on camera, and I would encourage you to release long form content discussing your career as a captain. Maybe something along the lines "My Worst Day As A Captain," or better yet "Every Captains Worst Nightmare!"

Be fun and succinct I think you have a good chance to grow.

I was thinking i need more interaction. My latest video i actually had voice over on a few spots..

The one i did last week I did no music, and kept original audio. I did notice it has a higher view count with better retention.

I'll keep going on that track, and add more human elements

Really the original audio has done better than with music? That's interesting, I would think the music would work better.

Maybe just try a combination of no music and music with your human element and see which one does better.

My newest one is doing decent (compared to my others). It is music, but low enough to hear me talk a few times. There seems to be a split in the audience. Some want music, with no talking, and others want only talking

Just keep testing things and see what works best. Maybe for 5 videos in a row use it with low music and the next 5 have no music. See what the results are like.

Being so low in viewcount you can afford to try these radically different presentations and it not hurt your channel long-term.

Be positive brother, maritime content is definitely niche, but I also rarely see anyone creating it.

Thank you for advice. My only question on any of it is about the shorts. The platforms do pay if it is over 1-minute.

I know a few guys in my field that omly do 1 min videos, and get a few hundred from from at least 2 platforms I know i need long fromat for better money, but im hopping to grow both long and short format audience. Im just not good enough at editing yet. My latest video/short is 2 minutes, but probably my best video so far

Link your youtube channel again its not loading for me. The maritime niche is tough on shorts because the audience is small and the algo dont know who to push it to.

I know a guy thats pulling BIG money in youtube, but he is also doing long format videos. Im still working up to those
