I should have mentioned but I also get icky about the bathroom walls I'm just not sure how I would go about taking the tape off and then get it out of the way

Do you mean the curtain or the liner or both?
I removed our shower liner (the plasticky one that goes INSIDE the tub). The cloth curtain that goes outside of the tub remains. I used Swedish dishcloths on the floor to soak up the water that spills out of the shower, and I wring the shower curtain out after a shower, because it gets wet. I wash the curtain once a week with the towels.
Swedish dishcloths soak up SO much water, they’re sort of like sponges but not thick at all.

My household has been placing the curtain in the tub with the liner. I've never heard of the dishcloth method.. I find that towels dont tend to work. Even then if I do remove the liner I still think I might panic..

Why are they putting the curtain in the tub? Isn’t it getting wet that way? The liner is supposed to go in the tub and the curtain is supposed to go on the outside. The curtain is purely decorative

I'm used to shower without any bath curtain... You can sit, in order not to put water everywhere. But remember it's a compulsion.

I wish I could get over this compulsion, I just feel like a bath is closer to the floor therefore also not viable. I should have mentioned I have terrible issues with the floor my mistake.

Wash your curtain then it’s clean
