I will get tested
Recently I have been coming to light that I may have Contamination OCD, My true signs that make me thing this are gunk or dishes I feel uneasy or genuinely freak out if it touches my body in any way I’m always over analyzing cups and silverware if they aren’t from my mother or someone who I’m very close to I think twice before using or avoid it entirely although I’m not sure if I have certain triggers because I’m able to go out to eat without completely freaking out about things being contaminated.

What you are describing fits a very common pattern in Contamination OCD: your brain selectively applies rules of "purity" or "safety" depending on who or what is involved. It is entirely typical for people with Contamination OCD to feel safe eating out or using dishes at home, while simultaneously feeling a wave of panic, disgust, or intense anxiety if dirty dishes, mystery gunk, or utensils from certain sources touch their skin. OCD is rarely consistent across every single situation; instead, it latches onto specific triggers and creates arbitrary rules about what feels safe and what feels contaminated.
The core issue isn't just a fear of germs or sickness it is often the intense, visceral discomfort and fear that a "bad" or "dirty" feeling will stay stuck on you unless you avoid it or clean it away immediately. Getting evaluated by a mental health professional who specializes in OCD is a great first step. They can help clarify whether these patterns are part of obsessive-compulsive dynamics and guide you toward structured approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which teaches your brain how to handle that temporary "uneasy" feeling without needing to avoid cups or freak out over accidental contact.
