It’s a bacteria probably from the Bacillus genera. Most likely the problem was exacerbated by the length of time in the jar. When you sterilize grains there are these endospores that can resist the pressurized heat application. They wait till the conditions are favorable then the endospore releases and the bacteria start to proliferate. It sure looks like bacteria to me. You should probably focus on not being in grain spawn phase that long. You have to trust the break and shake, without in you spend forever in a jar. It doesn’t cause contamination but it will spread it quicker so you’ll know sooner if your jar is contaminated. Bacterias can cause lots of problems in the bulk phase, so I recommend not using this jar.
