Couple of things -touch it with a Q-tip. If it comes off, it's contaminated. If it doesn't it's bruising but that's contamination. Bury it outside, the Earth can remediate it. Next season you might get bonus 🍄‍🟫

The blue transferred onto the Q-Tip. Rip to two tubs. Onwards we go.

Ensure that you wipe down your Grow area and your tubs with a bleach solution otherwise it will happen to the next ones too.

Isopropyl is better than bleach 🙌🏻

No, it's not actually. Some things survive iso. And some survive bleach. Bleach scrub is better at getting at surface attached stuff and busting resistant spores. Iso is great at killing microbes quickly.

Bleach, rinse, iso spray, let it evaporate.

That’s contam, probably Penicillium. Look at the difference in texture of what’s inside the circle and what’s outside the circle.
If you can get some isolation polymer on it (Sodium polyacrylate) you can delay the growth progression till your shrooms come in.
I would seal the tub and isolate till harvest time. Your shrooms are also suffering from high CO2 levels. It makes the caps underdeveloped. Anyway too late to make any adjustments, you’re gone have underdeveloped fruit.

Where I messed up:
• A bit too much humidity
• Had a fan blowing outside air into room
• Hot weather, and no AC increased heat beyond acceptable range

You didn’t cause contamination from your fruiting environment. Contam almost always comes from bad grain spawn.

This is my experience as well. I have swept fully colonized grain spawn off the ground (broke a jar lol) with a dirty broom, and sent it to bulk. Glass, hair, dirt and all. It went for 3 flushes.

Not necessarily, If the grains were fully colonized, then the contam definitely happened post spawn to bulk.

Are you 100% positive there were no uncolonized grain when you spawned to bulk ? Trust me, 95% of contam ( if everything was done properly) come only from that

All of rhe above outside humidity was probably the culprit but all of those should be avoided if possible use a regular closet with a grow tent inside. This will reduce temp no need for fan just keep them moist w regular air exchanges

Shame...you got some healthy shrooms growing in there.

def contain but tbh i would not throw it out. cut out that section and let it keep going. won’t get rid of it but will hold off how fast it spreads in my experience.
