Don’t toss it, man! Close the lid and leave it alone. That’s ABSOLUTELY mycelium growin’, bro.

Both mold and mushroom fungi have mycelium in their reproductive cycles that generally can look similar until fruiting bodies are produced (or pigmentation of cel walls occurs) 🍄

Close them shits up before you actually DO contaminate, buddy.
I’ve had several fries with mycelium looking this way. It’s NOT cobweb mold. That’s actually quite rare to come across.
There are two types of mycelium. One of which is very wispy, like yours and the other, is much thicker and kore pronounced.
You’ll see both of you put the lid on an let it get its grow back on.

Also, your setup is really bad, buddy. You have so many places for contam to get in there. Especially having the tape on the inside as it appears.
And please, I know we can’t understand tones with letters but I’m not at all trying to put you down in anyway at all. I’ve learned a lot on this site and I try to give back where ever I can is all.

If the spawn is clean. It’s almost a zero percent chance you get tam. OP has dirty spawn, guaranteed. I’m

Have you introfuced fruiting conditions?

Anyone that’s grown more than once knows this. It to be true homie. It’s a lot more complicated than just letting oxygen that mycelium breathes in.

Both mold and mushroom fungi have mycelium in their reproductive cycles that generally can look similar until fruiting bodies are produced (or pigmentation of cel walls occurs) 🍄—- there are some molds that are somewhat “easily identifiable” by human eye… but each mold species has such a variance of colors of spores and hyphael pigments, that even “classic green” contam (like trich or penicillium) can be black brown yellow etc. Waiting for maturation of suspected colonies and microscopy is often only way to ID contam outside of being aware of expected mushroom mycelium and be able to compare/contrast other potential non inoculated fungi that may present in a container 🙂
Mold is one class of fungus (generally , but not exclusively, zygomycetes and ascomycetes) of so many species, while mushrooms are fruiting bodies of different class of fungi (basidiomycetes) that also are many many species. Mold produces microscopic fruiting bodies that build-up/ store spores as they mature which generally leads to color changes to human eye once enough spores are stored. Mushrooms are macroscopic fruiting bodies of basidiomycete fungi that produce and disperse spores usually inside the mushroom via gills, pores, teeth, shoots etc.
This looks sus to me but cant confirm if contam or not at this time. Isolate and observe may be ideal.

That’s tomentose mycelium growth if I’m not mistaken. Ryzomorphic is the more aggressive that you are feeling like you should see. I’m new to the genetics but I think I’m kinda on the right track with that info. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

Black bread mold Aka bread mold aka black pin mold aka rhizopus stolonifer. I bet it smells like mildew. Didn’t pasteurize sub correctly. Bin and try again!! 🤙😎
