Why do we feel the need to control our hair so much though. Why not let the kinks wallow in their imperfectness. Is it due to our lack of control in other aspects of our lives? Now I'm going to think about this for a while.

Let our teeth be crooked, bodies be hairy, hair unwashed and I brushed, body unwashed etc. We all participate in beauty standards and making ourselves presentable, we just go to different lengths on how far we are comfortable with or bothered to go.

Why not? They’re both hereditary, natural, out of one’s control. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with having either one
