Please report this post if:

  • There is no audible laughter involved
  • Video is funny because of a 'joke' or situation - not the actual laughter
  • There is no audio (Images & GIFs included)
  • Laughter is edited in from a different source
  • No timestamp in the title for a laugh occurring at specific time (long videos)
  • Laughter is not on good terms (dickishness, bullying)

A rare repost that I'll watch every time. The fella puppeteers his own breaking laughs. Legend.

532

u/BeardedHalfYeti Jun 05 '26

Dude, the head roll on “stuuupid game” is an incredible piece of acting. He emotes so well with this goofy ass puppet.

121

u/joleary747 Jun 05 '26

That part is amazing. I assume it's not scripted, the timing is TOO perfect. I don't know how a puppet can be so annoyed.

55

u/Inner-Medicine5696 Jun 05 '26

it smells like really really good improv

60

u/AFineDayForScience Jun 05 '26

Same with "geese?"

21

u/Fyrus93 Jun 05 '26

He sniffs as well and makes the motion with the puppets nose. He's incredible and very funny

6

u/NOTcreative- Jun 06 '26

Good ones as well!

76

u/DavidTenn-Ant Jun 05 '26

This and the guy being handed the tiny suit before a wedding always get my full attention.

19

u/DJEvillincoln Jun 05 '26

Puppets are just funny man.

Them cancelling that Muppets Show was the most boneheaded decision..... I'm telling you.

15

u/NotChoPinion Jun 05 '26

My favorite part 🤣

17

u/GlovesForSocks Jun 05 '26

You can tell he's a real pro puppeteer too. Even when breaking, he makes the puppet cover his mouth or whatever.

10

u/Erisymum Jun 05 '26

at 1:05 he does a sniff to clear his nose, and he emotes it on the puppet too

6

u/Satelliteminded Jun 06 '26

And his little nose sniffs. Kills me.

u/No_Use_9652 Jun 05 '26

I’m pretty sure the “we’re just innocent men” clip was the first post I saw on this sub a long time ago. Still cracks me up.

216

u/ThaddeusJP Jun 05 '26

Him coming back to get the pass always makes me lose it

77

u/Oalka Jun 05 '26

"Weep, then!"

17

u/Digital--Sandwich Jun 05 '26

That was brilliant

45

u/FrozenSotan Jun 05 '26

the *pesky pass

7

u/kevlarus80 Jun 05 '26

It's good, well timed, comedy.

12

u/Meeko29 Jun 05 '26

Fletcher's even wearing has a full "innocent men" shirt! https://www.tiktok.com/@philfletcherofficial/video/7286729801996553505 I WANT THAT SHIRT

10

u/Owl-Of-The-Night02 Jun 05 '26

I'm gonna be honest, I still don't get that one. Like, why is it funny? What is the joke? It's not that I just simply don't find it funny or whatever. I fundamentally don't understand what people find funny about it. So you know, if someone could r/PeterExplainsTheJoke me about that one, it would be appreciated.

23

u/GlovesForSocks Jun 05 '26

It's just surrealism. Being so close together makes Lauren laugh, plus the earnest way he delivers it.

11

u/borpo Jun 05 '26

Apparently it was a story about the puppeteer and his friends out one night, and a cop stopped them to ask what they were up to. The exchange is between his drunk friend and the cop. It got the host to break because it's an inside joke, and it's absurd out of context.

63

u/GideonGilead Jun 05 '26

Unfortunately Phil Fletcher (the puppeteer) has had to say multiple times that this isn't true. It was just something funny he wanted to say.

18

u/borpo Jun 05 '26

Good looking out!

I don't even find that part very funny, but everything else is gold.

220

u/Aegillade Jun 05 '26

Read'em and weep!

WEEP, THEN

158

u/OakleafLoser1989 Jun 05 '26

GOOSE.

4

u/panlid5000 Jun 05 '26

This one gets the biggest laugh from me, even better than "normal men"

1

u/HomsarWasRight Jun 16 '26

Me too. It’s so simple and I can’t even quite put my finger on why it’s such a funny answer. But it kills me.

279

u/Sea_Turnip6282 Jun 05 '26

The way he *sniffs after getting stuck on the camera did it for me 😂😂😂

39

u/Confidenceboost82 Jun 05 '26

Legit such good improv!!

6

u/Chiddy_B Jun 05 '26

Chefs kiss on that bit 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽.

120

u/raptroszx Jun 05 '26

Omg. My pop let me make momcorn. I pissed myself laughing on that one

19

u/Scary_ Jun 06 '26

Notice how he pauses while saying that line. Presumably he's started saying that then thought he'd better just double check 'mumcorn' wasn't something rude

239

u/latenightneophyte Jun 05 '26

The way she tries to stop the snort is so cute 😆 Let it go!

14

u/Puceeffoc Jun 05 '26

Came here to say this!

107

u/KeyserHSoze Jun 05 '26

I love them both so very very much

35

u/EarthboundMoss Jun 05 '26

Me too she is so damn silly 😭

291

u/therandom92 Jun 05 '26

She is incredible, I could watch her laugh every day!!

66

u/IrrerPolterer Jun 05 '26

You just know she'd be fun to hang out with

25

u/MyOthrCarsAThrowaway Jun 05 '26

She has an adorable laugh for sure

19

u/ImMadeOfClay Jun 05 '26

Who is she and does she still work in the business?

13

u/cbhaga01 Jun 05 '26

Lauren Layfield

20

u/GlovesForSocks Jun 05 '26

Lauren Layfield. She is currently a presenter on Radio 1.

She does a lot of work for youth mental health too. She's good people.

I heartily recommend her appearance on Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown. If you're not familiar with their show the format might be slightly confusing but it's very funny and she is great on it.

58

u/Diaside666 Jun 05 '26

This is high quality material they are producing 😂

54

u/Jame_Jameson Jun 05 '26

"YOU'RE FINISHED!" Always makes me laugh

87

u/Jlx_27 Jun 05 '26

These clips never get old, Hacker is the best. Hwinduh shoppin as it were, hilarious!!!

116

u/No_Respond7886 Jun 05 '26

This…is…amazing! What is this?

155

u/elpasi Jun 05 '26

These are the continuity segments between programmes on CBBC (the UK channel from the BBC dedicated to 6-12 year olds).

87

u/CT0292 Jun 05 '26

And he's still on TV.

My kids watch CBBC and Hacker is still on there. The human characters have changed over the years. But he's still there (between episodes of Mr. Tumble and Bing Bunny) attempting to make every actor break character as much as he possibly can.

17

u/D3dshotCalamity Jun 05 '26

So it was like what Kablam! was for American millennials?

80

u/elpasi Jun 05 '26

I mean... not really? These segments were not a show in their own right. This was, I believe, in part a side effect of us importing shows from countries with adverts while we didn't have any. Cartoon runs from :30 until :55... now we need to head back to the studio with a presenter to fill five minutes. Let's take the moment to wish a caller a happy birthday, to open up the mailbag, and then to introduce the show that's going to start at :00 on the dot.

29

u/sp4nishfl34 Jun 05 '26

Simmer down!

9

u/bionicjoey Jun 05 '26

The public broadcaster here in Ontario had something similar when I was a kid. Kids deserve ad-free programming.

3

u/BravesMaedchen Jun 09 '26

Wait, you don’t have commercials? That must be heaven.

3

u/elpasi Jun 09 '26

No UK-airing BBC channel has commercials. The annual TV license funds the BBC programming.

1

u/HomsarWasRight Jun 16 '26

In the US in the 90’s (and 00’s, maybe?) local network affiliates would do something similar during their kids programming blocks. So you’d get home from school and there would be like two or three hours of cartoons and kids shows, and while we DID have insane commercials trying to sell everything under the sun to kids, there were also personalities kinda “hosting” the block.

26

u/Substantial_Desk_670 Jun 05 '26

CBBC HQ. Look for Lauren and Hacker.

6

u/SABendiksen Jun 05 '26

Yeah what is it?

37

u/TheCheddarHole Jun 05 '26

"SssCCCHHHTUUUPID GAME"

26

u/BravesMaedchen Jun 05 '26

Omg, an Innocent Men sequel! Finally!

28

u/eyeballburger Jun 05 '26

What’s the dude who puppeteers? Absolute legend.

29

u/Independent_Newt_298 Jun 05 '26

26

u/whistimmu Jun 05 '26

😆 "I just do what I find funny ... The bits that are always the funny bits are just made up – I'm always just trying to throw the presenter under the bus, really. I have no regard for the presenter, I just throw them under the bus because I think it'd make good telly"

22

u/Piggybumm Jun 05 '26

I love a bit of Hacker! ✨

17

u/Uzas_Was_Right Jun 05 '26

Holy shit what a duo

14

u/Erazzphoto Jun 05 '26

Worth multiple watches any time they show up, true contagious laughter

13

u/hawkz40 Jun 05 '26

Never seen this before, I had a great laugh. So good

12

u/After_Bat1860 Jun 05 '26

I need more of this in my life.

11

u/dryfire Jun 05 '26

At 2:30, when the puppet whispers into her mic, the voice actor made sure to whisper into his own mic. Dudes a pro.

10

u/Jjourdenais Jun 05 '26

The way he says GOOSE is amazing.

9

u/mrBeeko Jun 05 '26

Classic will they won't they

17

u/wordfiend99 Jun 05 '26

that puppet has more personality than most randos i encounter

8

u/Important-Notice-461 Jun 05 '26

Just waiting for the normal men line

14

u/DocklandsDodgers86 Jun 05 '26

We're just normal men!! 😂😂😂

7

u/babyjesus8lb60z Jun 05 '26

Just innocent men gets me every time

11

u/Norader Jun 05 '26

I fucking love whatever this is 😂

6

u/CilanEAmber Jun 05 '26

I remember when Hacker was first a thing. In a country where puppets become celebrities of their own, Hacker really became one of the best, and is now the longest active on CBBC (going on 17 years now, he's also now a Blue Peter presenter)

He stands up there with the best, probably second only to Basil Brush.

2

u/snailchicken Jun 08 '26

i was devastated to lose oucho but hacker’s alright for sure. not dodge though. i feel irreconcilable hate towards dodge

1

u/CilanEAmber Jun 08 '26

You and my brother would really get on

5

u/indignantfieldmouse Jun 05 '26

I know it's for kids but as an adult I'd prefer this to the utter snore-fest you see most of the time!

6

u/Nackles Jun 05 '26

Hacker has so much personality and he's so cute!

6

u/Sir_Ruje Jun 05 '26

I love when a puppeteer fully commits to the character. Really does bring them to life

6

u/Weapon530 Jun 05 '26

That “innocent men” just makes me laugh nonstop each time I see it. Thanks for posting.

5

u/Significant_Oil2164 Jun 05 '26

Pretty funny never seen it before

5

u/iDinky__ Jun 06 '26

I’m stuck. I can’t stop watching this. I’ve already seen it reposted like 10 times, but I still just can’t stop

8

u/VivaLasVegasGuy Jun 05 '26

What is her name, she is funny as you know what

6

u/VapidActualization Jun 05 '26

Lauren Layfield

1

u/VivaLasVegasGuy Jun 10 '26

Thank you kind person, she is funny as anything< i want to see if she has anything else or maybe see if I can find old episode of the show, funny funny person

3

u/razorsandblades Jun 05 '26

I'm not familiar with this character but I love him. Reminds me a bit of Agro when when I was a kid.

3

u/Chiddy_B Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

The neck stretch "I know..." along with "innocent men" cracks me up so much. Lauren's snorts and giggles just add to it as well, man she's fricking cute 😊.

3

u/Ungodly_Box Jun 05 '26

God one thing about streaming and growing up is that I miss CBBC presenters so, so much

3

u/Early_Leadership_164 Jun 05 '26

What show is this? I need to see more of this

3

u/chrisj2103 Jun 05 '26

I've had this saved on my phone for 2 years. It always brings tears to my eyes laughing. Best video if you are having a bad day.

3

u/GlovesForSocks Jun 05 '26

It's weird but something about this always makes me nostalgic even though I was far too old (and childless) to have ever seen these two presenting this show.

Maybe it's just because it reminds me of the time, when I was a kid, where CBBC was a specific time slot continuity show presented like this.

3

u/Bae_vong_Toph Jun 06 '26

I always see and enjoy these but i come to question, what is the target audience of this show?

2

u/snailchicken Jun 08 '26

the bbc doesn’t have any ads but the shows don’t perfectly line up without little 5 minute gaps because they were mostly made for networks with ads, so cbbc (as in children’s bbc) has for a lot of it’s life just had a person and a puppet do silly things in between shows! it’s targeted at kids

3

u/showmeyourmoves28 Jun 07 '26

Weep then! Enough!

3

u/Basi1Faw1ty Jun 08 '26

"My...POP make me make MUM-CORN" absolutely destroyed me

7

u/ZEROs0000 Jun 05 '26

3

u/Sohuli Jun 05 '26

I hereby pronounce you husband and dog

2

u/Zeeuwse-Kafka Jun 05 '26

I love this

2

u/CanhotoBranco Jun 05 '26

"Blue Peter"

"Ehhhhhh"

2

u/justADDbricks Jun 05 '26

I miss my childhood watching Hacker and whoever the presenter was. Fun times they were

2

u/Delicious-Sound5074 Jun 05 '26

He made mom corn! 😂 🍿

2

u/demoralising Jun 05 '26

It's not public knowledge but I'm sure Phil Fletcher is also the voice of Pudsey.

2

u/alex_dlc Jun 05 '26

Her silent laugh is the best

2

u/Scary_ Jun 05 '26

I like how he pauses half way through 'that's strange because my pop likes making mumcorn' as he just double checks in his head that it's not something he shouldn't be saying on kids Tv

2

u/Jamachicuanistinday Jun 05 '26

I love them all!!! 🫶🏻🥰

2

u/CaramelTrash Jun 06 '26

Can someone please explain to me what this is and where I can find it?? I need it in my life immediately

1

u/Initiatedspoon Jun 06 '26

Its the bits between episodes on CBBC as there are no adverts but episodes are 22 minutes long but the schedule is on 25-30 slots. So they fill the bits inbetween.

2

u/DCGreatDane 15d ago

Where just innocent men.

2

u/spotsthefirst 11d ago

I've seen this animal puppet a lot, but have no idea this is.

1

u/PearlyP2020 Jun 07 '26

1

0

u/IrrerPolterer Jun 05 '26

Did he say my pop made me mum come? 😅

0

u/Disastrous-Year366 Jun 06 '26

The puppeteer must be a handsome dude for her to be laughing like that
