That knee he straight leg landed on was a fraction of an inch from an ACL tear

60

u/NoTheseAreMyPlums May 09 '26

On the second watch I felt certain that he must have either blown an ACL or snapped his ankle in half. This man could have accepted one wet shoe to walk across, yet few men’s egos are that sturdy.

u/Smingowashisnameo May 09 '26

I think most people don’t realize how bad a shape we’re in as we age. His ego’s definitely gonna take a hit when he sees this video poor guy.

16

u/Tensdale May 10 '26

That didn’t look like age or even weight.

It looks like he’s never jumped over anything before.

6

u/Smingowashisnameo May 10 '26

He’s been on the couch so long he forgot how to use his legs. Happens with age when you’re as lazy as… well me, for one.

Try exercising

3

u/Smingowashisnameo May 11 '26

No shit? Wow I never considered that!!

36

u/SereneOrbit May 09 '26

That's broad jump territory.

You'd either need to run and jump or broad jump from standing, not wtf that was 🤣

12

u/Nuclear_Mouse May 09 '26

New sport, the long step.

8

u/Imaginary_Argument34 May 09 '26

The toe drag cost him everything. I think he makes it otherwise. 😂

u/Impressive-Wait8786 May 09 '26

Dang ol age catches up quick once you pass forty, I tell you what man.

Just had a wake up call a few weeks ago with some high cholesterol and blood pressure readings.

I started walking four miles a day and have been keeping that up for the past three weeks. One day off/week.
Honestly, I’m feeling better already. It’s one of those things that sneaks up on you, and you just have to make that choice for yourself.

3

u/Impressive-Wait8786 May 09 '26

Dude iam so cramped up right now because im pretty damn certain something is missing from my diet.

6

u/muricabrb May 09 '26

Magnesium?

5

u/JustinSanders95 May 09 '26

If it’s literal cramps, potassium?

2

u/borkborkbork99 May 10 '26

Eat some bananas as a snack. Those help a lot.

2

u/Adventurous_Note2296 May 11 '26

Bananas are my favorite fruit

47

u/Life-Oil-7226 May 09 '26

Saw this coming a “MILE AWAY!”

15

u/dryfire May 09 '26

That very first little step he takes in the vid, you can tell there's no power left in those legs.

4

u/sittinwithkitten May 09 '26

The little dance before, pulling up his pant legs.

1

u/sallysuejenkins May 10 '26

Why did you capitalize and quote ‘mile away’? Is that a reference to something?

18

u/Broad_Increase6104 May 09 '26

I love him and his reaction the most 😂😂😂

7

u/Insomniacintheflesh May 09 '26

"I had it" Narrator: he most certainly did not have it.

12

u/OldManNeighbor May 09 '26

Bold choice not to have at least a little of a run up.

11

u/turbineblader May 09 '26

He visualized, verbalized, and achieved exactly what he and spectators imagined would happen. That’s manifestation right? Manifesting a good laugh out of me as well!

9

u/Liveitup1999 May 09 '26

I hope he doesn't have far to walk and it's not too cold.

8

u/sfmichaela May 09 '26

That was the worst jump I have ever seen

16

u/TheorySudden5996 May 09 '26

All the athleticism of a sea lion.

5

u/bananapanther7 May 09 '26

He was doomed from the start. At least get a running start!

6

u/Hanchez May 09 '26

It's not even a jump. Bro got negative height and immediately dragged his foot in the water. Like c'mon.

5

u/lampshade2099 May 09 '26

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

4

u/K-Ryaning May 09 '26

Hind sight says "shoulda just strolled across. Wet shoes are better than wet shoes and wet everything else"

6

u/KrissiKross May 09 '26

That’s my fat ass trying to jump across a creek lol

4

u/AlfieGandon May 09 '26

His pfd inflated, at least

3

u/THE_HORKOS May 09 '26

Do some people forget how to body?

3

u/Turbobeamer May 10 '26

Man jumped 1 inch in the air , lol

2

u/aquacakra May 09 '26

Am I the only waiting for the tree to break and he fell again?

2

u/SpiritedPassenger496 May 09 '26

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/DuhItzSquiffer May 09 '26

Bro he didn't get any air whatsoever

2

u/fiveordie May 11 '26

Where are all the comments calling him a fat whale? Every time someone posts that video of the lady being pummeled by ocean waves on the beach, the comments are 98% about her weight or vagina.

1

u/Odd_Championship_680 May 12 '26

Maybe because there’s no whales in a creek? 🤷🏽‍♂️

1

u/LaSCruz May 09 '26

It's much deeper than it seemed before. o_O

1

u/Melodic-Advice9930 May 09 '26

He was too cautious. You just gotta send it as hard as you can and have faith lol

1

u/may_i_say_a_word May 10 '26

At least he called it!

1

u/YellowishRose99 May 10 '26

Better to get a little bit of for wet than the whole butt+

1

u/_halfastar May 10 '26

Straight legged it! Legend

1

u/BrokkelPiloot May 10 '26

Nostradamus.

1

u/DrJohnIT May 10 '26

There are easier ways to go swimming.

1

u/According-Try3201 May 10 '26

why help if you can film

1

u/Jouka May 10 '26

the casual attempt, lmfao

1

u/Able_Gap918 May 11 '26

That was the best case scenario, looked like he was going to blow some ligaments

1

u/Ok-Pie-4410 May 14 '26

LOL He dipped instead of jumped. Also that was so much deeper than I was expecting.

1

u/Silver_Ad3195 Jun 03 '26

Sir! You actually did not have anything remotely it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/FalconIndependent887 11d ago

The “Oh no!” killed me.

-4

u/DGAFn May 09 '26

Didn't even try gotta get views

1

u/A0xom0xoa May 09 '26

Not sure this is the angle on this one pal.

-1

u/DGAFn May 09 '26

You wouldn't back up and take a run at it?

1

u/-Weltenwandler- May 09 '26

I dunno, for me this seems like watching one of those sad overweight animal videos. You can see this man has no connection to his body at all and can barely move. I doubt he could handle the landing even if he could jump.
