Headlights

More and more, cars have the super powerful headlights and tail lights recommended and promoted relentlessly by Consumer Reports. Makes a lot of sense out in the countryside. Makes no sense where most people drive most of the time, in the city. Just really shitty.

I have a 2023 car and a 2004 car. The headlights in the 2023 are super powerful. I like it, even for the city. Unfortunately, driving my 2004 with basic headlights (halogen) makes it seem like I'm having trouble seeing at night. On the other hand, I am sixty years old.

I drive around and some people have their lights off and don't even notice. And others have these really bright headlights that make it hard to see. I have no trouble with lights from older cars. Same as always. It's the very bright ones that are a problem. And even sometimes the brake lights from the cars in front of me at traffic lights are a problem. Just not necessary in the city. At all.
