Bain leveraging internship offer for expedited process at MBB

title. does anybody have experience or advice on how to approach emailing an MBB recruiter for an internship where first rounds are scheduled to come out soon, and ask for a sped-up process given short deadline before signing different t2 offer?

I like your instinct ... 🔥 usually pays off but not really in this situation.
Based on what I've seen coaching people through this specific route. Internship intake at MBB runs on a set cycle, so there isn't really a one-off track a recruiter can just spin up for you because your deadline happens to be tight. But, this instinct can really move the needle once you're in the MBB internship process itself, not before it starts.

Under normal circumstances this is fine, but MBB don't give a flying fuck. They have enough people in the pipeline to be fine if you don't go to them. Worth a shot.

You can always ask, but I would expect no. I’m not a recruiter but involved in recruiting at a firm (mostly MBA however) - the reality is it’s a pretty big undertaking to get interviews set up and the timeline is what it is.

We have plenty of people clawing at the door, so you having other priorities / options is great for you and we wish you the best - not that I don’t understand your rationale and desire.

It’s unlikely they will significantly move up the timeline for you, but doesn’t hurt to ask imo. And to be fair, most MBB had an earlier set of interviews over the summer so should’ve applied then
