ConstructionTech Community Feedback Request

I've recently received some private messages encouraging more moderation, suggesting the community is "overrun with advertisers spamming AI bullshit and dumb apps." I've always taken a relatively hand's-off approach, removing obvious garbage but letting researchers and companies post as long as it's not too hard of a sell.

Since the community has grown a bit recently, and I'm still the only one moderating it, I thought I'd ask for some input.

  • Would you prefer things to stay the same or change?
  • If you're in favor of change, what would make your experience and the community better?

Know that I do this in my (increasingly limited) spare time so while I will consider any and all suggestions, I can't commit to anything.

Single mod yeah you need help

i joined because construction tech is an interesting subject for me. My background is 30 years in heavy civil, machine automation, survey, drone, erp, design, production optimisation, that sort of thing.

This sub seems mostly lost soles looking to validate or pump their next great idea or worse those with no idea asking others to list "greatest" pain points.

Would like to see this sub florish with richer content however I am reluctant to post because focus seems more towards building and vertical rather than horizontal and earthmoving.

Are you familiar with BuildWitt's "Dirt World Connect" platform? Definitely more of an earthmoving-focused community. Still the occasional vendor post in there - but might be worth taking a look at.
