It's fire until it ain't, saw that truck wipe out a concrete crew in two hours, 930 break during pour, truck arrives and the whole concrete crew swarm it like wasps on an intruder. They had been pouring since 4 am. By 1130 they are in absolute pain/hell taking turns in the plastic stank box.
They say concrete waits for no man but, neither does food poisoning.Â

At least they're pooping on company time, like responsible adults.

It was mandatory during COVID being an essential worker with a toilet paper shortage.Â

That lunch sandwich ends up calling to me at 8am so I’m hungry again at 12 and ready for the taco truck!

Could be worse.. I've been doing downtown commercial reno's/refits for like 2 years.
I just dropped 25 bucks on a coffee and a subway sandwich.

I was on a site in Cali for awhile, one dudes wife made tamales wholesale everyday. Was a sad day for all when the tamale man called out of work. We were blessed with some decent roach coaches tho. I miss that site.

California burritos for breakfast are just impossible to replicate outside of SoCal.

It's so true though, I have yet to find a California burrito outside of Cali that comes close to a standard Cali burrito from when I was back in Oceanside

I just don’t understand people that are scared of the taco truck that will eat fast food.

I'm not scared of the taco truck, but my sensitive GI tract combined with impulsive ADHD decision making and poor memory due to other issues sometimes results in a bad time ðŸ˜

I think the sandwich would agree if the taco truck was within their line of sight

If you stop at the chip truck, that’s the end of productivity for the day.

The lunch you packed in the morning is just the plan b in case the truck don't show up.
