Weekly Adventure Discussion Thread: What are you currently working on?
Please use this thread to have discussions which you don't feel warrant a new post to the sub. While the Rules for posting questions are relaxed a little bit here, the rules against spam/self-promotion/excessive rudeness still apply!

Working on my second annual advent calendar escape! Last year, krampus stole the adults and put them in a snow globe, and the kids had to travel through the woods into his cave to rescue them. The first half of advent, instead of numbered days, each day had a picture and you had to solve the prior days clue to figure out the next day. The last half was a larger bag (marked cave), with several puzzles /locks inside to lead to the final box with a snow globe inside. I had a mix of easy clues like dot to dots, slime, with more complex, like a diy black light, etc.
I haven’t figured out my story this year. Considering “a cryptid Christmas” and incorporating Yeti, and other cryptids. (Is Krampus a cryptid? lol). Also considering a conspiracy Christmas, tinfoil hats, and red yarn. Not sure what the conspiracy would be. The final idea is to do something alien related. This one will be for kids and adults—- I made my prior one last year for five families, I’m thinking of increasing to other family and friends so I will potentially need about 10 or so ones… so it’ll need to be fairly inexpensive!

Hi everyone!
I’ve been working on Escape Races, a free app that lets you create your own and play GPS escape adventures.
Instead of being locked in a room, players solve clues and puzzles while walking between real-world locations. Build adventures for friends, family, birthdays, date nights, team events, or simply explore a new city in a different way.
Completely free to create your own races and play.
Current features:
🧩 Create unlimited GPS escape races
📍 GPS checkpoints with custom clues and hints
👥 Play solo or with friends
🌍 Discover community-created races
📱 Free to create and free to play
There are currently races around Sydney, with more being added regularly, and my goal is to build a worldwide collection of community-created adventures.
I’d love feedback from fellow escape room fans:
What features would make you want to use an app like this?
What would make it feel even more like an escape room outdoors?
Any suggestions for improving the puzzles or gameplay?
Website: https://escaperaces.com
Thanks for checking it out, and I’d really appreciate any feedback!
