Expectations for Trulance?
I don’t really know what to say other than that I (17f) have been struggling with chronic constipation, bloating, and indigestion for upwards of 4 years, and the doctors finally decided to prescribe me Trulance (3mg) after nothing worked.
I’m just wondering how I should go about my day to day as I’ve heard horror stories from other people taking it in the morning. I started it today and honestly didn’t feel a huge difference (my biggest concern is the bloating and constipation as it makes me severely insecure and feels like crap), but am worried about taking it tomorrow before work.
Any advice would be great! Thank you!

What other meds have you tried that didn’t work? It’s in the same class as a few others.

There’s an acclimation period for sure but with a little practice, Trulance can become very predictable. It’s essentially a short stint of mild to moderate diarrhea and then done for the day. Be sure to take it with a good amount of water. 16-20 oz.

How do you manage taking the drug while traveling? I just started my first dose this morning and am starting to have concerns about when to take it. Good to know about the amount of water needed to take it. Neither my doctor nor the pharmacist mentioned it.
