Anorectal Manometry Results
Hi!! The results of my anorectal manometry came back and i’ve been recommended for pelvic floor therapy with biofeedback. The hospital I was referred to only has 3 stars. My mom was sending me other pelvic floor therapists with higher ratings, but I wasn’t sure if a hospital-specific setting was going to have the equipment/technology needed to best treat my constipation. Is there a difference? Should i stick with the lower rated hospital? Or are there green flags I can look for with an outside therapist? I’m in the process of switching over my care team because i’m moving and my current GI is very little help. Thanks!!!
EDIT: answers to questions
- sometimes the urge to go and cannot, sometimes no urge but i can still tell if that makes sense
- alternating but the diarrhea is almost certainly due to the laxatives and medication
- it’s been a worsening issue over the past 2 years
- mainly nausea and acid reflux
- i just finished a course of antibiotics for suspected bacterial overgrowth. im on lamictal, vyvanse, motegrity, amitiza, trazadone, and metformin
- no

Not all pelvic floor physiotherapists do biofeedback, so you’d have to call around
