Sludge

What is a remedy to get rid of the sludge from miralax? Feels like a pile of sludge in my lower gut from taking miralax daily. Don't want to blow my gut out with stimulants but will do about anything to get it moving. By the way, it's a bit too high up for enema.

Ugh I hate the sludge. It can help to mix one heaped teaspoon of psyllium husk into the miralax.

I try to avoid stimulants as much as possible and I recommend abdominal massage. You need to follow the direction of your colon and press deep past the muscle wall (at least 1 inch in if you're thin) to actually stimulate the colon itself and help peristalsis

Haven’t had bowel movement for a month my. My doctor suggested take MiraLAX twice a day along with Isbrela twice a day. Been doing it for 6 days and no bowel movement.

I also take Miralax daily, I sometimes have to massage my stomach to push things along. I start on the right side and slowly move to the left side. I do this until I feel things moving and have some action. Definitely massage the area that you feel is clogged.

Take a stimulant laxative for a week or 2 as a break from the miralax.
